EJ22 will overheat and may blow headgasket at 230F

The GoWesty cooling system info is both wrong and incomplete. The
radiator temp switches are different for different years. The 2.1 uses a
switch that turns on at much lower temps than the 1.9 switch does.
Everyone who has upgraded their engine should use the 2.1 switch, IMHO.

Bentley page 19.12 shows the 2 different temp switches and their ranges.


The 450 watt fan came in non-A/C models as well, but with a 2 speed
setup. GoWesty states that it is only a 3 speed and only in A/C.

Bentley page 97.200 shows the 2 speed version of the 450 watt fan setup.
Bentley pages 97.141 and 97.145 show the 3 speed with A/C version.
