I went ahead and ordered the muffler from Stainless Specialties.

In 3 days you can expect to receive the following:

Mega Oval Muffler

6 1/2" wide
X 2 5/8" tall 
X 18" long body size
Overall length is 23"
Centered single inlet, centered single outlet.
Muffler has 2.5" long X 2"OD tips welded onto each end to allow welding of stainless steel flanges in your shop.


I will look to your shop to provide the following:
* catalytic converter
* welding of stainless steel three bolt flanges to each end of...
      catalytic converter inlet
      catalytic converter outlet
      muffler inlet
      muffler outlet (or weld stainless tail pipe to outlet of muffler)
* fabrication of steel muffler brackets/supports for fitment to smallcar support and/or stock vw carrier bar.
* all necessary stainless steel hardware to connect exhaust, cat, and related brackets.

Note:  If the KEP header does not come with an O2 sensor, I'll need to purchase one from you.
During fabrication, please let your guys know that I will be polishing the exhaust system so any attention they could pay to cleanup of welds would be much appreciated.

Size is customizable, shorter IS louder
