www.weidefamily.net/vanagon/Pending_Content/Engine_Conversion/14Alternator/ Hi Brent, A while back I mentioned that I was going to use a 2005 H6 100amp alternator on my 96 2.2 engine. The folks at the dealership, and at Small Car assured me that it would NOT work. Well, it does with only two minor changes. One, it comes with a six groove pulley. Since you are going to need a 3mm spacer cut the end off of the pulley and true it up to make the spacer. Throw the pulley away. Note, you may need to bevel the housing a bit to completely clear your original five groove pulley. Two, you will need to grind about 3-4mm from the A/C bracket in a small area to allow the alternator to fully pivot downward. Of course you will need to use the matching plug and may want to install heavier gauge wiring to handle the 100amp output. All in all one of the simpler things about the conversion. Now if only a nice quiet air cleaner were only so easy. Dan Beatty
