Subject: green and white wire If you are talking about the wire that goes to terminal 11 on connector B56(the 16 pin connector) on the ECU you are already in good shape. It has something to do with letting your car know if it is in California or not. You can leave it alone or cut. I found this wire on my 93 2.2, goes from ECU to engine connector but has no matching wire on the other side of the big grey engine connector. Thanks John Henson I remember having trouble with this one with the KEP digram ...three years ago...which yellow/red wire is which.....??? The simple answer is that the two yellow/red wires are easily distinguishable....the always hot to VW B+ wire is a large heavy gauge wire.... probably 10 gauge.... and the ignition on wire is much smaller...probaby 14 or 16 guage.
