Here's a few pics to explain the location of the dash and console bulbs, and how to get at them for replacement. Oh, one more thing. The rheostat (light dimmer wheel), conveniently located just below the Vanagon headlight switch where you will frequently knock it askew, can be adjusted to brighten or dim your dash lighting.
